Trisoft Systems helps strengthen the pillar of Indian democracy

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) is entrusted with the responsibility to audit various public sector enterprises and government departments. It truly is a pillar of Indian democracy as it enhances the accountability of the Executive to the Parliament and State Legislatures by carrying out audits in the public sector and providing accounting services in the states in accordance with the constitution of India, existing laws and best practices.

As the head auditor, the CAG moves vast amounts of paper files between its regional centres and the Indian Parliament. The process is manual and cumbersome. It is very difficult to conduct statistical data analysis. Security too is a major concern since the CAG handles sensitive documents.

Trisoft’s solution for the CAG comprises of a Document Management System which allows for real-time online file movement and tracking in a secure and scalable environment. The solution is built using SharePoint Portal Server and Biztalk Server. The solution which is currently running at the HQ in Delhi, will shortly be deployed across all 20 offices of the CAG in India.

Trisoft was awarded this contract amidst stiff competition from Industry giants such as TCS and IBM.
